Why Bayis Sheli?

There’s joy in the air when a new baby is born. There’s love, warmth and excitement. But when illness and disability become the new reality, there’s anxiety, fear and an overwhelming responsibility.  Question marks  begin to storm the parents’ minds:
  • How will they care for  their child’s challenging needs?
  • Will they  ever be able to shower love to a child who takes such a mental, emotional and physical toll?
  • Where will they place their child when they are unable to adequately care for them?

Bayis Sheli is more than just a home.

It loves. It cares. It gives.

Parents are put at ease knowing that their child is in safe, responsible hands, where even their most complex medical needs are taken care of meticulously. We are dedicated to providing more than just a safe shelter. We work with passion and devotion so our residents can maximise their potential, gain independence and joyfully call this place their home.

You cannot cure their disability. But you can give them a better quality of life.

Loving carers = happy children = happy parents

Bayis Sheli takes this equation seriously. We nurture our residents with devotion, love and care so that they can thrive, maximise their potential and have all their individual needs met.

Bayis Sheli provides Jewish training to all staff members before every notable date in the Jewish calendar. This ensures all carers are knowledgeable about the upcoming holiday and residents partake through exciting artwork, wall displays and entertainment.

“I am really happy that Mrs Gluck is now attending several times a week to teach religious studies and cook and bake the special jewish foods with our residents. Shoshana is especially enjoying these sessions!”
